Exporting your data
You can take your data out of ekPOS as CSV files that open directly in Excel.
Full exports
Each page under Import / Export except opening stock has an Export CSV button in its Export section. It downloads every record in the same layout as the import template, so an export can be edited and imported back.

Files are named with the date and time, for example products-export-20260923-021500.csv.
Report exports
Every report has Export CSV and Print / PDF buttons that export exactly what the report shows with the current filters. See Reports.
Other exports
- A contact's ledger — CSV or a printable statement.
- The chart of accounts statements — CSV and PDF.
- Sales, purchases, returns, transfers, adjustments, expenses and repair tickets print from their own pages.
Products → All Products → Export → Excel and the contacts list's export download the same CSV files as the Import / Export pages. There is no PDF export of the product list.
Who can do this
Full exports need Data → Export. Report exports need Reports → Export.
